This is a view of
the drivers side
front suspension. The
11.75 inch rotors and aluminum rotor hat are from Wilwood. The
spindle is a 76 Monza which used mush smaller ball joints there fore
its lighter, Plus I machined a little over three pounds off the
spindle. The hub is a 1969 Nova with special selves I machined to
accept Vega Bearings. The Ball joints are for a Vega so they are very
light. I built the upper and lower control arms from chrome moly and
I used Aluminum Heim joints. The upper A-Arm weights only 2.9 pounds
complete with ball joint, Hemi joints with mounting bolts all the
bolts in the front suspension are titanium. The coil over shocks are
Carrera, but I am going to use a shorter spring (less Weight). |
